Lincoln Adult Education Center, a non-profit adult (ABE) English as a
second language program, is gathering a pool of potential applicants to
draw from for a number of upcoming job openings due to program expansion
and a maternity leave.  
 
*       Openings for part-time ESL teachers in downtown Minneapolis.
Classes meet Monday through Thursday.  Available time slots include 9:00
am to noon, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  Classes
available are beginning level through intermediate level.  
 
*       Openings for part-time workforce ESL teachers to teach
customized English classes at worksites in Minneapolis.  Variety of time
slots available, but often includes early morning or late afternoon.    
 
Qualified candidates will have coursework in TESOL and at least one year
experience teaching ESL to adults. If you are interested in one of the

Volunteers Needed
Looking for a volunteer during the school day to work with two eager newcomer 
ELL students.  One student is 3rd grade and speaks, reads and writes 
Vietnamese.  The other is 6th grade and speaks Hmong (writes and reads Thai).  
School hours are 9-3:10.  A possible time would be 2:00-3:00.  This is an
