Weekly Announcments/Job Openings
Registration for summer term, 2005 begins today, February 21, for
admitted students. You should be able to register online. If you have
not received a copy of the Registration Guide and would like one,
please email gradprog@hamline.edu or call our office at
651-523-2964.
Lincoln English Language School, a non-profit adult English as a second
language program, has a part-time opening (16 hours per week, Monday
-Thursday 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.) for an ESL teacher in Minneapolis. Teach a
beginner level course to adult learners who speak Spanish, Somali,
Hmong and other languages. Qualified candidate will have coursework in
TESOL and at least one year experience teaching ESL to adults.

NACEL International School (located on Hamline's campus) is looking for
a short term sub to fill an ESL program for 12 high school students from
Brazil. The students will be attending the program for four weeks in
May, 2005 and will be accompanied by a chaperone. We are looking for
someone who can run this program which will consist of the following:
*May 2-27, 9:30-4:30, Monday-Friday (pay is $17/hour)
*Mondays-Thursdays will be ESL for approximately three hours;
additional
classes such as PE, music, art, history, science, etc. (these classes
would be taught by other teachers but the short-term teacher would
accompany the students); a couple of field trips a week
*Fridays will be all-day field trip days
