Hi! I'm Kerry Heacox, 5th grade teacher at HOPE Community Academy. Our 4th and 5th graders have been invited to an overnight field trip and we need 2-4 enthusiastic education students to help us chaperone. Here's the scoop: Who: Volunteer Chaperones needed What: Overnight "Prehistoric Camp-In" Where: Science Museum in St. Paul When: Field Trip leaves from HOPE Community Academy (public charter school) on St. Paul's East Side at about 1:00 Thursday, Feb. 10th. We tour the State Capitol at 2:00 then check into the Science Museum between 4:00 and 5:00. Lots of learning activities are planned for us (see attached flyer for general information). Dinner and breakfast the next day are provided. We will be done about 10 AM on Friday, Feb. 11. Why: It's fun! It's a great learning experience for future educators and we have a great group of students and staff.
