The following positions are available with Metro North Adult Basic
Education:
 
ABE Teacher; Brooklyn Center location; Year-round; 12 hrs/wk; 3
evenings/wk (M, T, W).  Teach ESL to beginning level adult students.
Requires current MN teaching licensure (any field) or BA or MA in
bilingual education, applied linguistics or ESL.  Strong interest in
literacy issues. Ability to work well with team members.  Experience
with ESL or ABE adult learners preferred.  Computer knowledge

ABE Literacy Assistant; Columbia Heights location; Year-round including
6 weeks in summer; 18 hs/wk;  4 days/wk (M-Th).  Under direction of
licensed teacher, teach ESL to multilevel class of adult students
enrolled in Even Start Family Literacy program in Columbia Heights. 
Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent.  2 years of college
preferred.  Strong interest in literacy issues. Ability to work well
with team members.  Experience with ESL or ABE adult learners preferred.
 Computer knowledge preferred.  Start rate: $10/78/hr and up.  Start
