Can Builder 1.0 and 3.0 coexist?

     Can C++Builder 1.0 and 3.0 both coexist on the same system?  I'd like
     to be able to test the building of our system under both environments
     without having to uninstall / reinstall.
     
     Also, I like to be able to build from the command line using make.
     Would I have to change the PATH to ensure that the right version's
     executables be run?
     
     Are there any other considerations you can suggest?
