What version of C++Builder are you using? (You should be using the
Professional or Client/Server version.)

Did you create the alias in BDE configuration and give it the correct
pathname?

Go into SQL Explorer, click on the alias then click Object -> Apply.

That should do the trick to correct the accesablity issues, the GP
sounds like a hardware issue.
