First Database Application
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
I'm getting a bit stumped with Builder's Database construction.
I'm new to creating databases in general, so this might end up being a
little off subject for Builder. I've had no problem creating a
database table for Builder and making a form that reads the database
records and can add/delete; but, what I'm having trouble finding solid
information on is queries.
I have a database with records of two fields (as an example). One
is a text subject field, and the other is a memo field. When the user
starts the application, I want the main form to be a query where the
user can type a keyword in and have the app search through one or both
of the fields for a match. A second form would display with a hit
list of all records that match that criteria and the user could double
click on a record representation to view a form with all the fields of
that record.
Could anybody point me in the right direction, I've looked through
the Builder documentation and third party books without success.
