[BCB] PolyLine Help

While on the subject of TCanvas, how can I draw on other components?
I know I can draw on a TForm by reading the Canvas property, but what
if I wanted to draw inside a TPanel?  I tried a bunch of different
approaches, but I either get an error or nothing is done.  If I try to
access the Canvas property from some components, I get an error while
compiling that it's inaccessible.
   I figure there's something wrong with just writing on the
component's canvas, otherwise Builder would have included a Canvas
property for all components.

ps.  If anyone knows of a job openning for a Builder programmer on LI
or possibly NYC, please let me know ASAP.  I'm looking to advance.
