[BCB] The future of C++ Builder?

Who is this "someone"?

Who is the "major customer"?

If you have no facts, then it's just rumor and not very useful rumor at
that.

I have just spoken with Kim Lacki, the head of the Application Partners
Program at Borland who assures me that C++ Builder, Delphi, Interbase,
JBuilder & Midas are Borland's core products and there is no thought of
abandoning any of them.

I am forwarding this post to Kim. I expect that she will forward it to an
appropriate person inside of Borland who will answer in a more authoritative
fashion.

Subject: [BCB] The future of C++ Builder?

Hi Everyone,

I just joined the list so excuse me if this topic has already been covered.
I heard from someone I was interviewing for a job that a major customer of
C++ Builder had resently switched to another product. He also indicated
that Borland was not intending to continue support for C++ Builder, and
because our shop uses it, he did not want to join (there were 2 other
reasons as well). Has anyone else heard anything about the future of C++
Builder? Is this just a false rumor?

Mitch Mitchell, IDS
