Memorial statue for the victims of Nazi Germany in Hinzert, Germany. This work camp and transit station to Dachau is close to Trier, Germany. At first it was a graveyard. Officials in Luxumbourg insisted that the area would be a memorial for their citizens who were brought here and were murdered. The crosses mark the identities of the victims. Few citizens of Trier are familliar with this area. And the signage is very poor.

This are some pictures of my summer '02 class in Trier Germany. We are standing at the memorial in Hinzert. This memorial is for the prisoners from Luxembourg who were worked to death or shot. This work camp transported Jews and other prisoners to Dachau.
