CSCI 3500 Survey of Computational Sciences
Course synopsis:
Tuesday, 6-9 pm,
Spring 2010
This course intends to
provide both theories and hands-on experiences to some of the most
fundamental methods in computational sciences.
In the second half of the course, there will be guest lectures to
showcase how computational methods are applied in current research
fields such as biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics.
Students can choose to pursue a term project in one of the above
disciplines.
A field trip to the Minnesota Supercomputing
Institute is also included to
provide a bigger stage for those who are interested in more
