Route 66
a duple improper contra by David Kirchner

A1
Circle left 3/4; pass through across set (8)
Swing trail buddy (8)

A2
Right & left through (courtesy turn trail buddy) (8)
Ladies chain across (8)

B1
On right diagonal, ladies pull by right hands to swing partner (16)

B2
Long lines forward and back (8)
Gents balance, pull by (ends cross over here!) (4)
All pass through up and down set to next (4)

Notes: In order for the ends to work, those out at the ends should not cross over until just before they reenter. Called once and then abandoned as ridiculously complex in the B2 part. My thanks to the dancers of Knoxville for trying. I composed this dance while sitting in front of the TV during a Nat King Cole special.

An uncalled attempt to fix the B2 is as follows:

Circle right 3/4 (8)
Balance circle (4)
Actives dip and dive (2 changes) to next (4)

(Note that this would require those reaching the ends during the dip and dives to cross over almost instantaneously.)
