• Talent Scholarships

    Gain recognition for your talents!

    Apply for scholarships and earn the reward you deserve, when you are admitted as a new student for the Fall 2017 academic year.

    Scholarships are awarded in the range of $1,500 to $5,000 and can be renewed for three years if eligibility requirements are met.

    2. Complete separate application form for each talent scholarship; submit form.
    3. Follow instructions on each scholarship page to submit additional required materials by scholarship deadline.

    Scholarship Criteria

    • All required materials for admission to Hamline University must be submitted before applying for talent scholarships.
    • Scholarship applications and materials received after the deadline will not be considered.
    • Scholarships are only awarded to students who have received an offer of admission from Hamline University.

    Art $3,000 selection made by art faculty; portfolio required; art major required
    Business $3,000 selection made by business faculty; business or economics major required
    Art History $3,000 selection made by art history faculty; research paper required; art history major required
    Digital Media Arts $3,000 selection made by digital media arts faculty based on interview (by invitation); work sample required; digital media arts major required
    Music $5,000 selection based on audition (by invitation); music majors, minors, and participants in music programs are eligible to apply
    Science $3,000 demonstrated interest and aptitude for a science major
    Theatre $3,000 selection based on audition (by invitation); theatre arts majors, minors, and participants in theatre programs are eligible to apply
    Writing $3,000 selection made by English faculty; writing sample required; open to any student with an aptitude for writing and/or writing potential

    Fulford-Karp Physics Scholarship

    A full-tuition scholarship will be competitively awarded to one first-year student who demonstrates interest in pursuing a degree in the field of physics. Applications are due January 15. Complete our online application.

    Robbins Leadership Award

    This scholarship is designed to support students who have the Eagle Scout rank or the Girl Scout Gold Award. This award is renewable annually for three additional years and is awarded in amounts varying from $1,000 to $3,000 per year. Applications are due January 15. Download our pdf application to apply.
