Application Checklist for First-Year Students Complete the checklist below when you apply to Hamline University. 1. First Year application Complete an application and submit it to Hamline University. Online applications are automatically sent to our admission office. You may complete a paper application and mail it in to our office. Apply Online Download a paper application and apply by mail. 2. Academic records Submit an official high school transcript, including a list of senior courses. Transcripts must be sent directly from your school. Submit an Official Transcript How do high school credits transfer to Hamline? 3. Test scores Send your ACT or SAT scores to Hamline. These may be listed on your official transcript sent to Hamline by your high school. To send scores directly from the testing organization, include the following codes: ACT: 2114 SAT: 6265 4. Teacher recommendation forms Have at least one letter of recommendation describing your academic and leadership record and potential from your guidance counselor and/or an academic teacher sent directly to Hamline. This is a binding application process; if you are admitted you agree to attend Hamline. Download the Early Decision Agreement December 1: Early ActionAll application materials due December 1. Decisions will be mailed by December 20. Hamline's early action program is non-binding; you may apply to other colleges. January 15: Regular DecisionComplete your application by January 15 and receive admission and financial information in time to attend all spring events. After January 15 (as space is available): Rolling AdmissionCompleted applications submitted after January 15 will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Deposits:Admitted applicants must submit a $400 deposit to reserve a place in the class. Deposits must be postmarked by May 1, which is the National Reply Date. The deposit is credited towards your fall tuition payment.
