Favorite College Activity: While in college, I spent the majority of my time participating in the women’s Track & Field team, which was my favorite activity as an undergraduate student at Hamline. I have been a huge fan and supporter of track since I was a little girl and enjoyed running for the Hamline program. I made many lifelong friends and couldn’t get enough of the healthy competition.

Interesting Fact: The winter of 2009 was the first time that I had ever seen snow. I moved to Minnesota from Houston, Texas, where 75 degrees was considered “chilly”. The idea of snow having different types and forms was like a foreign language to me. Luckily, I met many Minnesota natives who helped me through the transition.

Why I love Hamline: Hamline is a place that is accepting and diverse, welcoming any and all. I like to say that you never meet a stranger at Hamline; there are outgoing and friendly individuals everywhere you turn. Not only are the students at Hamline welcoming, but you are guaranteed to meet someone from a completely different background as you, making for a cultured and knowledgeable experience.
