Favorite college activity: I had the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for the Introduction to Physical Anthropology course. I helped to set up labs, assist students during their labs and help them with test preparation and homework. I loved working with the students as well as with all of the bones!
Interesting fact: A few years back I took a spur of the moment trip to China and spent time in Beijing, toured the Olympic Village, hiked the non-refurbished portions of the Great Wall, and discovered, what I believe to be, the best coffee shop in the world! UBC Coffee in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia has the best coffee that I have ever tasted!
Why I love Hamline: Hamline has one of the most welcoming communities of engaged individuals with a diverse range of experiences and ideas. Students at Hamline come from all across the United States and over 60 countries, are from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds and an average of 350 students study abroad in over 40 countries every year! I learn something new on daily basis just from talking to the students, staff and faculty!
