    TechSelect is a new end user technology acquisition and lifecycle management system at Hamline. Getting the Right Technology Into the Right Hands in the Right Way.

    • TechSelect is based on three main ideas: expanded choices, a leasing model and a decentralized budget.   
    • TechSelect offers a menu of technology options as well as a consultation process with ITS whereby the right technology is selected and acquired by and for a department or individual.  
    • TechSelect provides equipment that is leased by a monthly fee
    • TechSelect relies on a decentralized budget and a flexible operating spending model where departments make decisions about the technology they use.  
    • Everyone will be able to rely on the same efficient process for all acquisitions

    Mark Kondrak, Hamline's chief information officer, has announced that Information Technology Services (ITS) has been reorganized to ensure and improve strategic alignment of the department with the continuously-evolving needs of the University.

    A new Google-integrated voicemail system will be installed this summer as the first step in Hamline's broader unified communications strategy.

    The ITS Help Desk, Academic Technology, and Bush Library are joining forces to pilot a shared service desk on the first floor of Bush Memorial Library and invite the Hamline community to visit.
