  • What it means to Make a Difference

Hamline College of Liberal Arts Alumna

In her first semester at Hamline, Lauren fell in love with Art History and graduated in 2011 with a double major in Art History and Business Administration. Lauren's Presidential Scholarship enabled her to come to Hamline and made it a lot easier to not work so much as a student. Lauren will continue her love of Art History this fall at the University of Iowa.

    Hamline Undergraduate Student

On the ice and in the classroom, Beau exhibits the focus and dedication that befits Minnesota's legendary hockey family. A recipient of the Hamline Trustee Scholarship and Hamline Grant, Beau exemplifies the values of teamwork, loyalty, and determination. These values will serve him well in his plans to enter business after completing his college and hockey careers.

    Hamline Law Student

At the young age of 23, Chris was tapped to be the field director of a campaign to elect the country's first Muslim congressman, Keith Ellison. After that successful effort and a stint as a press aide on Capitol Hill, Chris decided to take up law. Hamline was his choice, and Hamline has supported him in his studies with a Presidential Scholarship.

    Hamline School of Business Alumna

Traveling from Malaysia to Michigan to do her undergraduate studies prepared Julie well to thrive in Minnesota as a graduate student. But it was the support from a Holt Fellowship for study in India that really showed her the meaning of international study.

    Donor, Holt Endowed Fellowship

The Holt Endowed Fellowship was started by Ann Holt to help undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty experience what they otherwise wouldn’t be able to experience by studying business abroad. It was created in honor of Ann’s parents Darrel M. Holt ’36 and Elizabeth Lunde Holt ’36 who met while at Hamline and were married in 1936.

    Trustee, Hamline University

Kathi has been a trustee of Hamline University since 1986. A trailblazer and an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church, she is a passionate supporter of Hamline's commitment to social justice, volunteering, and service. Because of this, Kathi is also a major supporter of the University Center. Her contribution is dedicated to the third-floor meditation room that will help shape the area that also houses Hamline's Wesley Center.
