Gust and Gunderson pair up for win in loss to Cardinals

Kelly Gust (Jr., East Grand Forks, Minn.) and Liz Gunderson (Jr., New Prague, Minn.) continued to excel together at first doubles, earning a 9-8 (8-6) win at first doubles while the Pipers fell to Saint Mary's, 6-3.

Gust also recorded a 6-3, 6-0 win at first singles over Val Meschke, while Kristin Sczublewski (Fy., Pierz, Minn.) battled back to win in three sets at fifth singles, 4-6, 6-4, 10-1.

Kristen Kiemele (Fy., Eagan, Minn.) also played a three set battle, falling at fourth singles, 4-6, 6-4, 4-10.

Hamline drops to 4-11, 0-6 MIAC as they prepare to play at St. Thomas tomorrow, Thursday, April 17, in a match rescheduled from April 2.
