Hamline takes down Northwestern 6-0

The Pipers women's soccer team controlled the second half to move to 5-4 overall with a 6-0 non-conference win over Northwestern Tuesday night at Pat Paterson Fields.

Ann Donner led the Pipers offensively with three goals on the afternoon.  Her first goal came at the 39:39 mark of the first half giving Hamline the lead 1-0 heading into halftime.  Within the first 10 minutes of the second half, she would rattle off two more giving the Pipers a 3-0 edge.

Anna McMahon had three assists for the Pipers. Two of her assists were to Ann Donner and one was to Kendra Watson on her goal at the 64:01 mark in the second half.

Watson would return the favor, setting up McMahon with a goal of her own only minutes later at 66:10.  Scoring leader and first-year athlete Jo Smith would chip in another goal at the 70:04 mark off an assist from Christine Feely.

The Pipers will take on conference opponent Carleton on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Pat Paterson Fields.
