Women's soccer cruises past North Central 7-0

Sophomore Ann Donner scored her second hat trick of the season to lead the Pipers to a 7-0 victory over North Central Thursday night at Klas Field.

Donner netted the eventual game-winner for the Pipers (7-5) at the 15:14 mark of the first half. She was assisted on the play by Erin Hertog. Donner added the Pipers first two goals of the second half at 58:30 and 60:25.

Donner now leads the team with nine goals and three assists for 21 points on the season. She recorded her first hat trick of the season against Northwestern on Oct. 4.

Junior KC Heaney added her fifth goal of the season at 28:34 to make the score 2-0. First-year Kim Magill scored at 30:58 to make it 3-0 at the break.

Donner would add her two goals before sophomore Christine Feely and Kayla Kaiser each tallied their first goals in their collegiate careers.

Hamline outshot North Central (3-12-2) 37-1 in the contest and held a 17-1 advantage in shots on goal.

Piper goalkeeper Andrea Eilertson made one save for the shutout win. Ram goalkeeper Casey Fitzgerald made 10 saves in the contest.

Hamline will next play at St. Benedict on Saturday.  Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
