Hamline shuts down St. Catherine 4-0

Led by first-year player Jo Smith's three goal night, the Pipers took down conference opponent St. Catherine in their second MIAC match-up of the season.  Greta Heaps had assists on two of Smith's goals.

Hamline's first strike would come at the 21:27 mark of the first half when Smith scored off of a rebound, assisted by Anna McMahon.  The first half would end tight with the Pipers holding at 1-0.

The gates opened midway into the second when Smith and Heaps would all but put away St. Catherine with consecutive hookups at the 70:07 and 73:42 marks.

KC Heaney would add a beautiful fourth goal header for the Pipers at the 87:55 mark off an assist from Ann Donner.  The Pipers move to 3-2 on the year and 1-1 in conference play.
