Women's soccer loses to St. Benedict 1-0

Blazer Patti Clintsman broke a scoreless tie with a goal at 69:01 to lift St. Benedict to a 1-0 victory over Hamline Saturday afternoon in St. Joseph, Minn.

Hamline (7-6, 2-5 in the MIAC) was up to the challenge in the first half as Piper goalkeeper Andrea Eilertson made three saves in the first 45 minutes to keep the game 0-0.

The Blazers would outshoot the Pipers 15-1 in the second half, including Clintsman unassisted goal.

Amanda Broadbent made two saves to earn the shutout.

The Pipers will travel to Macalester on Tuesday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
