Pipers hold on to beat Coe 2-1
It did not take long for Anna McMahon to get the Pipers off on the right foot, striking only 26 seconds into the first half to give Hamline a 1-0 lead. Greta Heaps would add a goal at the 21:30 mark, assisted by Kendra Watson, that would ultimately be the game-winner. Hamline would hold the 2-0 lead only 28 seconds into the second half when Coe got an early strike of their own, sliding one past the Piper defense moving the game to 2-1. Hamline would hold strong though, maintaining their lead through the remainder of the half. They move to 5-2 overall and are 1-1 in MIAC play. Hamline will take on Concordia in a conference matchup Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Pat Paterson Fields. |
