Donner gives Pipers 2-1 win over Bethel

Sophomore Ann Donner scored just 24 seconds into the second half to break a 1-1 tie as the Hamline women's soccer team went on to defeat Bethel 2-1 Tuesday afternoon in Arden Hills, Minn.

Donner scored an unassisted goal at 45:24 for her sixth goal of the season.

Hamline (6-5, 2-4 in the MIAC) took the lead at the 1:53 mark of the first half on Anna McMahon's sixth goal of the season. She was assisted on the play by Kim Magill.

The Royals (5-9, 0-7) tied the game on a Jenna Cartier tally at 29:10.

Hamline goalkeeper Andrea Eilertson made six saves in the win while her counterpart Charli Sorensen had four saves in the contest.

The Pipers will host North Central (Minn.) on Thursday at Klas Field. Game time is slated for 6:30 p.m.
