Last-minute goal drops women's soccer to 2-2 on the year

Augsburg scored with 1:12 seconds remaining in the second half, talking a 1-0 lead.  The Pipers nearly answered, but dropped the conference matchup Saturday afternoon at Pat Paterson Fields.

The Pipers were unable to hold off Emily Anderson's last second strike and lost what had until then been a defensive standoff.  First-year Jo Smith would put a shot off the top post with seconds remaining, but it was not enough to take the Auggies to overtime.

The Pipers drop to 2-2 on the year, and 0-1 in conference play.  Next up they will take on St. Catherine at home on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
