Hamline goaltender Crystal Testolin stopped 29 shots to lead the Pipers to a 4-1 victory over St. Olaf Saturday night at Drake Arena.

Testolin stopped the last 27 shots she faced in the contest, including 13 in the final period, to give the Pipers (10-5-2, 6-4-1 in the MIAC) their ninth win in 10 games. It moves Hamline into a tie for third place in the conference with St. Olaf.

St. Olaf (9-8-1, 6-4-1) got on the board first when Lindsey Boeser fired a shot from the point past Testolin at 12:02 of the first period, but that would be the Oles final tally of the game.

Hamline answered back two minutes later on a Mindy Lein power-play goal. Lein redirected an Amanda Finstad shot past Ole goaltender Shannon Herrick.

The Pipers netted two goals in the second period to take the lead. Sophomore Brianna Miller scored the eventual game-winner at 6:06 of the period. First-year Anna Johnson later scored at 11:25 to make the score 3-1 at the second intermission.

First-year Sophie Davidson finished the scoring with her ninth goal of the season at 2:17 of the third.

Hamline was outshot 30-26 in the contest, but Testolin was up to the task with 29 saves. Herrick finished with 22 saves in a losing effort.

The two teams will complete the series Sunday afternoon in Northfield, Minn. The puck will drop at 1:00 p.m.
