Women's hockey win streak halted
![]() Hamline (8-5-2, 4-4-1 in the MIAC), who had scored 43 goals during their seven-game win streak, was held to 1-for-9 on the power play in the contest. The streak was the longest in school history. The Cardinals (4-10-2. 4-4-1) grabbed a 1-0 lead despite being outshot 10-6 after the first period when Amy Madden scored on a wrister at 18:34. In the second period, Hamline knotted the score at 1-1 when Emily Dusold tipped home a shot from point for a power-play goal at 6:27. She was assisted on the play by Melanie Leveille and Sophie Davidson. But after that, Jung stopped the Pipers' last 16 shots, including all eight in the final period. St. Mary's took the lead late in the second period on a Laura Mueller goal at 17:53 of the period. The Pipers held a 30-25 advantage in shots on goal. Netminder Crystal Testolin made 23 saves in the loss. The two teams will square off again on Saturday night in Winona, Minn. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
