Women's hockey loses to UW-Eau Claire
The Pipers (13-8-2), who clinched their first MIAC Playoff berth on Saturday, outshot the Blugolds (13-10-2) 9-6 in the first period. However, a Beth Dittrich goal 55 seconds into the period game Eau Claire a 1-0 lead. Eau Claire scored three times in the second period to put the game out of reach. Michelle Stohr and Allie Campbell each tallied power-play goals in the period. Hamline netminder Crystal Testolin, the reigning MIAC Women's Hockey Athlete of the Week, made 31 saves in the contest. Eau Claire goaltender Mikaela Jobman made 23 saves in the contest. The Pipers will play their final series of the regular season against Augsburg this weekend. The series starts Friday night at Augsburg. The puck will drop at 7:05 p.m. |
