Four different players scored goals in leading the Piper women's hockey team over Chatham University (Pittsburgh, Pa.), 5-1, in St. Paul on Friday to complete the two-game series sweep.

Hamline started the scoring at 4:15 in the first period on a short-handed goal by Melanie Leveille (So., Appleton, Wis.) while Kesia Madryga (Fy., Burnsville, Minn.) waited out the final seconds of her penalty for tripping, called at 2:39. After playing the remainder of the first period without a score, Ahlers added the ultimate game-winning goal to her points tally at 1:21 in the second period. Madryga and Alli Miller (Fy., Fairbault, Minn.) were credited with the assists. A little more than two minutes later, Sara Mickelson (Sr., West St. Paul, Minn.) scored the first of two goals at 3:45 on an assist from Sophie Davidson (So., Saint Paul, Minn.).

Hamline's third goal of the second period gave the Pipers a 4-0 advantage when Brianna Miller (Jr., Woodbury, Minn.) placed the puck in the net on a pass from Amanda Finstad (So., Waupun, Wis.) at 17:50. The goal came in a four-on-four skating situation, with Alexis Smith (Fy., Burlington, Ontario) from the Cougars sitting in the box for a hooking penalty called at 15:52 and Alli Miller serving two minutes for slashing at 16:24.

In the third period, each team tallied a goal to bring the final score to 5-1. Mickelson's second goal of the game, and fourth of the season, came at 10:20 on an assist from Brianna Miller. Chatham's lone goal of the game was scored by Allison Papko (Fy., Winnipeg, Manitoba) off of a rebounded shot by Jacqueline Regan (So., Montgomery Township, Pa.).

First-year goalie Suzanne Kellogg (Crystal, Minn.) earned her first collegiate win in her first start, making 10 saves. The Pipers out-shot the Cougars 28-11 in the game.
