The Piper women's hockey team completed a weekend sweep of Concordia University-Wisconsin on the road on Sunday, 5-0.

Sophomore Melanie Leveille (Appleton, Wis.) started the afternoon game where she had left off the night before - with an assist. Leveille and senior Marie Gross (West St. Paul, Minn.) teamed up to get the puck to senior Emily Dusold (Shoreview, Minn.) for the Pipers' first score of the game four and a half minutes into the first period.

Later in the period, sophomore Amanda Finstad (Waupun, Wis.) scored her first goal of the season on an assist from first-year Heather Ahlers (Stillwater, Minn.). Leveille then scored her first of two goals at 16:34 in the first period with assists going to Brianna Miller (Jr., Woodbury, Minn.) and Alli Miller (Fy., Fairbault, Minn.).

Good things come in twos, and Leveille's second goal came at 2:42 in the second period when Ahlers tallied her second assist of the game. The Pipers' fifth and final goal off the stick of Sophie Davidson (sophomore, Saint Paul, Minn.) was scored less than a minute later, with an assist credited to senior Sara Mickelson (West St. Paul, Minn.).

The Pipers out-shot the Falcons 58-22 in the game. Sophomore goaltender Andria Pinkerton (Minot, N.D.) earned the shutout in net for Hamline.

Hamline's record is now 2-0 (0-0 MIAC), while Concordia dropped to 0-2. The Pipers remain on the road in non-conference play, traveling to Finlandia next Saturday, November 9, at 7:00 p.m. for the first of two games during the weekend.
