Strunk named MIAC Athlete of the Week

First-year goaltender Alexandra Strunk made her first collegiate appearances at the Cobber Thanksgiving Tournament and was named MIAC Athlete of the Week, the MIAC announced on Monday.

Strunk stopped 45 of 47 shots in two games this weekend in Moorhead, Minn.

Strunk made 12 saves in the third period in Hamline's 8-3 loss to Lake Forest on Friday.

On Sunday, Strunk made 32 saves in her first collegiate start as the Pipers tied Concordia 1-1.

She posted a save percentage of .957 and 1.41 goals against average on the weekend.
