Women's hockey falls to St. Catherine
Hamline (4-9-4, 3-7-2 in the MIAC) outshot the Wildcats (1-14, 1-11) 40-23 over the first two periods of action, but found themselved down 1-0 after an Angie Johnson goal at 11:38 of the second period. St. Catherine would add a pair of goals in the third period. A power-play goal by Laurel Volenec at 5:32 gave the Wildcats a 2-0 lead. Jasey Porter would add a goal at 13:38 of the game's final tally. Hamline netminder Rachael Young stopped 27 shots in the contest. The Pipers will travel to UW-Superior for a two-game series next weekend. The first game will be held Friday night at 7:05 p.m. |
