Women's hockey falls 2-0 to Augsburg
Magnuson broke a scoreless tie at 16:54 of the second period to give Augsburg (1-3-1, 1-0-1 in the MIAC) the lead. She would later add a power-play goal at 5:41 of the third period. Augsburg outshot the Pipers (1-1-2, 0-1-1) 36-9 in the contest - 21-3 over the last 40 minutes of the game. First-year goaltender Crystal Testolin made 34 saves in her first collegiate start for the Pipers. Amanda Bockmann made nine saves for the shutout victory. The Pipers will next play Lake Forest on Friday at the Cobber Thanksgiving Tournament. Game time in Moorhead, Minn. is set for 3:00 p.m. |
