Sather tabbed MIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

First-year Rochelle Sather led the Pipers to a pair of conference wins and was named MIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Sather, from Andover, Minn., had two big games as the Pipers went 2-0 in conference play on the week.

Sather averaged 22.5 points while shooting 80 percent from the floor and 80 percent from three-point range in Hamline's wins against Augsburg and Concordia.

Sather tallied 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the floor against Augsburg on Wednesday. She hit 5-of-6 three-point attempts in the contest and grabbed six rebounds.

Against Concordia on Saturday, Sather netted 22 points on 7-of-9 shooting while hauling down five rebounds in a 67-60 victory. Defensively, she held Concordia's leading scorer Annie Keeley to six points.

It was just Hamline's third-ever win against the Cobbers and first in Moorhead.
