Women's basketball falls to Concordia

But the Cobbers (14-6, 12-5) answered with an 18-4 run to take a 13-point advantage. Cobber guard Annie Keeley scored eight of her game-high 16 points during the run. Hamline shaved the lead to 31-26 on a Steph Jurewicz layup and trailed by eight heading into the break. The Cobbers opened the second half with a 23-5 run to take control of the contest. The Pipers battled back with a late run, sparked by back-to-back threes by Megan Haugen and Krystal Tschumperlin, but could get no closer than 11 in the closing minutes. Keeley was 5-of-10 from the floor, 3-of-5 from three-point range in the contest. Melanie Hageman added 15 points for the Cobbers. Hamline was paced by Shelby Hyllengren's 14 points - nine in the first half. Haugen totaled 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from three. The Cobbers shot 51 percent from the floor in the contest (26-51) while the Pipers shot at a 36.5 percent clip (23-63). Hamline will play at Carleton Monday night. Game time is set for 7:45 p.m. |
