Three days after scoring a career-high 23 points, first-year Rochelle Sather netted a team-high 22 points in the Pipers' 67-60 win over Concordia Saturday afternoon in Moorhead, Minn.

Sather tallied 22 points on just nine shots from the field. She went 7-of-9 from the floor, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.

Sather paced four Pipers (7-3, 5-2 in the MIAC) in double figures. Sophomore Krystal Tschumperlin added 15 points. Sophomore Grace Weinreich came off the bench to score 11, and junior Steph Hyllengren chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The win is just the third time in Hamline women's basketball history that the Pipers have beaten the Cobbers. The overall series record stands at 3-48.

Early on the Pipers fell behind 6-0 only to go on a 16-2 run to take an eight-point lead. Sather started the spurt with her first three-pointer of the game. Hamline was 3-for-3 from three-point range during the run.

Hamline would lead 33-22 at the break after shooting 50 percent (11-22) from the floor in the half. They shot 42.2 percent for the game (19-45).

Cobber post player Melanie Hageman scored 19 of her game-high 27 points in the second half to bring Concordia (5-4, 3-3) back. The Cobbers cut the lead to two on two separate occasions - the last coming on a Hageman three-point play with 5:37 left in the game.

But the Pipers would shutdown the Cobbers the rest of the way as Concordia was 0-of-11 from the floor after the Hageman bucket.

Hamline held the Cobbers to 31.1 percent shooting in the game (19-61) and 5-of-29 from three-point range. The Cobbers missed six three-point attempts in the final 1:30 of the game.

Hamline will host St. Catherine Wednesday night at Hutton Arena. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
