Tommies defeat Pipers

The Hamline University women's basketball team fell on the road to the University of St. Thomas, 71-60, in MIAC action on Wednesday.

The Tommies took control three-quarters of the way through the opening half, and never relented, owning a 35-24 halftime lead. In the second half, they built that lead up to as many as 16.

Mary Wilkowski (Fy., Savannah, Ga.) tallied 17 points, while Grace Weinreich (Jr., Wahkon, Minn.) and Krystal Tschumperlin (Jr., Watkins, Minn.) each had 10 in the loss.

The Pipers fall to 9-8, 6-8 MIAC. The Tommies improved to 12-5, 11-3 MIAC. Hamline takes to the court again to play at Augsburg on Saturday, February 2, at 1:00 p.m.
