Women's basketball rolls over Saint Mary's on the road

Mary's Wilkowski's (Fy., Savannah, Ga.) 24 points led the Hamline University women's basketball team to a 79-65 win at Saint Mary's on Wednesday night.

The Pipers carried a three-point lead into half time, but pulled ahead quickly after the break as Wilkowski dialed in her shooting, putting up 18 of her 24 points in the second half.

As a team, Hamline shot 51.8 percent from the field, including making 56 percent of their shots in the second half.

Defensively, Jessica Heinen (Jr., Spicer, Minn.) had nine rebounds and Wilkowski had seven.

With additional offensive power from Krystal Tschumperlin (Jr., Watkins, Minn.), who scored 20 points in the game, and Heinen's 11 points, the Pipers raised their record to 3-2, 2-2 MIAC.
