Women's basketball loses regular season finale![]()
![]() Over the first 4:02 of the game, the Cobbers (19-6, 16-4 in the MIAC) scored on their first six possessions. Post Player Tori Ehlert tallied six of her team-high 16 points during the run. The win gave Concordia the second seed in the upcoming conference tournament and a first round bye. Hamline had already clinched the fifth seed in the playoffs. Senior guard Carolyn Korchik scored a game-high 20 points for the Pipers. She shot 6 of 15 from the field and 5 of 10 from three-point range. Korchik was the only Pipers in double figures. Junior Kelly Lines added eight points. First-year Britta Schwartzhoff added seven. Hamline (13-12, 9-11) shot 39 percent from the floor (19-49) while the Cobbers were a red hot 54 percent from the field (25-47). Ehlert led four Cobbers in double figures. Anne Keeley chipped in 13 points, and Melanie Hageman and Jessica Heintz each tallied 12. The Pipers will play the first postseason game in Hamline women's basketball history when they travel to Carleton Monday night. Tip off is set for 7:30 p.m. |
