Volleyball makes short work of Crown

Hamline hit .326 as a team while defeating Crown College in straight games 30-13, 30-19, 30-16 Monday night.

The Pipers (15-7) received nine kills apiece from sophomore Amanda Booth and first-year Tasha Simmons. Senior Dana Luiken had eight kills in nine attempts on the night.

Setter Jenny Nichols dished out 29 assists with libero Jenna WItt added 11 digs.

The Pipers held Crown (5-17) to a -.008 hitting percentage on the evening. Jennifer Sunwall had eight kills for the Storm.

The Pipers will travel to St. Thomas Wednesday night. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
