Swimming teams earn CSCAA academic honors

The Hamline men's and women's swimmming team were tabbed College Swim Coaches Association of America All-Academic teams, the coach organization announced on Thursday.

To be eligible for the award, the grade point average for the entire squad must average between 2.8 and 4.0. Both Hamline swim teams earned a superior rating for posting grade points averages above 3.25.

The Hamline men's team posted the sixth-highest GPA among Division III men's team with a 3.37 average. The women were tied for 34th in the nation with a GPA of 3.32.

The Pipers are coached by Paul Waas, Jr., who is in his first season leading the squad.
