Swimming and diving competes at SJU/CSB Invitational![]()
![]() ![]() The Hamline women's team was paced by first-year Renee Punyko, who placed in the top two of three individual events. Punyko won the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:18.51. She was second in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.73) and 400-yard individual medley (5:00.01). Junior Dana Ketcher also won an individual title, taking the 50-yard freestyle in 25.83. She finished strong in the other freestyle sprint race, taking third in the 100-yard freestyle (56.89). Senior Lindsey Swnason was third in the 200-yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 2:39.49. On the men's side, first-year Will Khoury-Hanold had the highest finish of the day for the Pipers. Khoury-Hanold was third overall in the 200-yard backstroke, finishing in 2:05.14. Gustavus won the team competition in both the men's and women's divisions. St. John's, St. Benedict, and St. Thomas also competed in the invitational. The Pipers will compete next Friday at St. Thomas. Meet time is set for 6:00 p.m. |
