Swimmers lose tight dual meet with Concordia

The Hamline women's swimming and diving team fell to Concordia 138-99 Saturday afternoon in Moorhead, Minn.

Four different Pipers won individual races. First-year Renee Punyko was a two-time indvidual winner, besting the field in both the 200-yard individual medley (2:23.39) and 100-yard backstroke (1:05.66).

First-year Jessica Damiani won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:53.92.

Hamline won both sprint freestyle events as first-year Becky Moenkhaus won the 100-yard freestyle while junior Dana Ketcher won the 50-yard freestyle.

The team of Ketcher, Moenkhaus, Taylor VanDorp, and Erinn Moriarty also grabbed the 400-yard freestyle relay.

The Pipers will compete at the Macalester Invitational on Saturday.
