Janzen named MIAC Women's Swimmer of the Week

Sophomore Aly Janzen won two individual events, anchored a relay to a victory and was named MIAC Women's Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Janzen, from Lino Lakes, Minn., guided the Pipers to a 60-45 dual meet win over St. Mary's on Saturday.

Janzen won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:05.28. She also added a season best time in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing in 58.36.

The sophomore also anchored Hamline's winning 400-yard freestyle relay team.

The Pipers will compete on Friday night at UW-River Falls. Meet time is set for 6:00 p.m.
