Hanson named Co-MIAC Men's Swimming and Diving Coach of the Year

Third-year head men's swimming and diving coach Andy Hanson was named Co-MIAC Coach of the Year, it was announced at the conclusion of the MIAC Championships.

Hanson guided the Piper men's team to a fifth place finish in the conference meet. The Pipers amassed 318 points - more than 100 points than last year's total.

Hamline finished seventh in last season's championships with 196.5 points.

The Pipers also sent their first athlete to the NCAA Championships since the late 1990s when first-year Jonathan Tapia qualified in the 200-yard butterfly.
