April 5

First MIAC series a rough start for Pipers against #4 Tommies

After waiting an extra week to begin conference play following three double-headers being postponed due to winter weather, the Hamline University softball team had to face fourth-ranked St. Thomas to open the season.

The Pipers dropped both games, the opener a 9-0 decision in five-innings and the second a 4-0 win for the host Tommies.

Hamline is now 4-8, 0-2 MIAC. The Pipers' game for Monday against Martin Luther has been cancelled, as Martin Luther has conference games to make up. The game will not be rescheduled.

The Pipers will resume MIAC play on Wednesday, April 9, when they host Carleton at 4:00 p.m.
