Three Pipers earn all-region honors

Following an impressive 26-14, 16-6 MIAC season, three Hamline University softball players were named to the Midwest Region Third Team today.

Shortstop Sophie Davidson (So., St. Paul, Minn.) hit .355 this season, slamming nine homeruns, including one in the Pipers playoff win over Gustavus. She also had 25 RBI this season.

Centerfielder Jourdan Ulrich (Jr., Apple Valley, Minn.) led the Pipers in hitting at .410 and was perfect in the field during the regular season.

Ulrich also earned MIAC hitter of the week honors the final week of the season after hitting .533 during a 7-1 stretch for the Pipers that kept them in playoff contention. She scored nine runs and only had three strikeouts during that time.

Catcher Ashley Anderberg (So., Circle Pines, Minn.) hit .321 with three homeruns, and put up a .988 fielding percentage in tallying 134 putouts.
