Fastpitch softball splits games with UW-Superior, Babson![]()
![]() ![]() With the score tied at 7-7, Hamline (5-1) erupted for five runs in the bottom of the sixth. Kellie Hoen, Holly Wiborg, and Rachael Young all had RBI singles in the inning. First-year Grace Weinreich added a two-run double. Young, Weinreich, Sara Mickelson, and Jourdan Ulrich all added two hits in the contest. Young finished 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored and three RBIs. Mickelson, Weinreich, and Katie Prasek all added two RBIs. First-year Theresa Boleen won her fifth decision of the season, allowing seven runs through seven innings. She struck out two and walked one. In game two, the Pipers were held to just five hits while falling to Babson 3-1. Hamline trailed 3-0 before scoring their lone run in the seventh inning. The Pipers had the tying runs on base, but could not score. The Pipers will play the final two games of their spring trip when they face Worcester and Wellesley at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. |
