Pipers post two NCAA provisional marks in Snowshoe Open

Brandon Gleason (Sr., Mantorville, Minn.) ran an NCAA provisional time in the mile, while Andy Norman (So., Winona, Minn.) hit an NCAA provisional mark in the weight throw, as the Pipers competed at the University of Minnesota on Friday.

Gleason ran a 4:11.03 mile, just .03 off of the NCAA automatic qualifying time, as he won the event on Friday evening.

Norman finished ninth in the weight throw, but his throw of 16.62 meters (54-6 1/2) was an NCAA provisional mark.

Derall King (So., Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) finished third in the shot put with a throw of 16.08 meters (52-9 1/4). Brennan McKeag (Fy., Lakeville, Minn.) was seventh at 13.96 meters (45-9 3/4) and Josh Blaschko (So., Lakeville, Minn.) was eighth with a throw of 13.82 meters (45-4 1/4).

Ian Bauer (Jr., Roseville, Minn.) ran a fifth-place time of 8:40.40 in the 3000 meter run on Friday night.
